It comprehensively analyses all the surviving judgements of the Court. In addition, the extensive archive holdings made it possible to analyse the biographies of the special judges and to conduct a sociographical study of those sentenced by them. In summary, the author concludes that the Freiburg Special Court was a tool of National Socialist politics.
