Description
»More than Friend or Foe: Transregional Communication in (South)Eastern Europe from the Ottomans to the Cold War«
Social history as (trans)regional communication history promises to give new insights into the history of Cold War societies, as this publication shows in a first step. But also the analysis of early modern conflicts can profit from communicational approaches transgressing constructions of enemies or friends. An early modern Ottoman and European »common world« (Faroqhi) was constituted in logics of communications exceeding frontiers of Empires.
