Erik Brüggemann
The author studied law at the Philipps University of Marburg, and at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. Hereafter he wrote a dissertation on data protection law. During this time, he lived in Prague before working as a research assistant in data protection consulting for a large commercial law firm in Düsseldorf. Staying in that region he then underwent and completed his legal clerkship. For two years, he worked as an in-house lawyer negotiating business customer contracts for a global telecommunications provider. Today he works for the same provider in the data protection team.
