Jürgen Kloosterhuis

The archivist and historian Jürgen Kloosterhuis, born in Coburg in 1950, worked in the Münster State Archives from 1980 to 1996, and as director of the Secret States Archives Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation from 1996 to 2017. His research includes Brandenburg-Prussian military history and military studies of the 18th century, Westphalian regional history in the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period, student history in Germany in the 19th and 20th century and, within historical auxiliary sciences, the modern diplomatics and the register studies (Akten- und Amtsbuchkunde).
