David Retzmann

David Retzmann studied law at the Ruhr University Bochum from 2009 to 2014. After completing his first state examination, he went on to study for an LL.M. at the University of Edinburgh and completed his legal clerkship at Dortmund Regional Court. Following the Second State Examination at the beginning of 2018, he worked as a research assistant at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg, Chair of Public Law of Prof Dr Suerbaum, where he wrote his doctoral thesis at the same time. In September 2020, he took up his position as a judge at the Administrative Court of Aachen and has been a judge for life since April 2022. He is currently on secondment to the Federal Constitutional Court.
